Change is an ever-present force that shapes our world and moulds our journey. At the heart of every transformation, however, often lies an intricate companion: grief. The processes of change and grief are intrinsically intertwined, and understanding this complex relationship is key to navigating the turbulent waters of transformation with grace and resilience.

Never before in the history of humankind has change been so rapid. This change can be overwhelming and out of our control. Unpredictability can give rise to uncertainty and unexpected grief. 

It is but a short time since 1977 heralded Union and the birth of the Uniting Church. In the life of the Church, swift change has led to deep disappointment, destabilising many Church communities.
